Things I've been thinking about: Lots of cleverly displayed cinnamon sticks for mulled wine and cider, one bowl of spicy warm nuts and one bowl of yummy sweet ones on the tables, some sort of amazing pumpkin or squash soup and then our bbq.
Pie and spiced cakes table. Wouldn't it be so cool if they were just displayed on a bunch of vintage cake stands?

Poor Sean and Jess! You're absolutely right, though. There's really no question.
What would be more amazing: cakes and pies on stands on a table, or cakes and pies on stands stuck into the ground? Is that even possible?
So we really need to search for cake stands, old books, a punch bowl, maybe antique decks of cards. What else?
